CLASSIC & TIMELESS KITCHEN TRANSFORMATION

Our client has lived in this home for 20+ years and felt it was time to finally renovate their dated early 2000’s kitchen (think tile countertops and laminate cabinets). The client asked to keep the design classic and timeless and not trendy so it would last her another 20 years in the space. We went with a beautiful creamy beige for the cabinetry, a classic subway tile backsplash with a little bit of variation in texture and width and brass fixtures and hardware.

While we largely kept the overall peninsula island layout the same, we moved the fridge and range location for better flow in the space and created a coffee bar area alongside a better functioning pantry. We updated the flooring (throughout the whole house), added new quartz countertops and updated all the cabinetry, hardware, lighting and fixtures.

This project was designed completely virtually and through close collaboration with the client and contractor and detailed virtual interior designs/instructions, the project turned out beautifully. I refer to this project as "From Hated to Loved Kitchen" because the first time I spoke with this client about her kitchen, one of the first things she said to me was that she absolutely hated her kitchen. It didn’t function well, things were falling apart and she wasn’t happy with how it looked.

At the completion of the kitchen renovation project, one of the first things she said was that she now LOVES her kitchen and that made me so happy to hear. Having a client go from hating the main space in their home to loving it makes me so happy to do what I do. It’s so fulfilling knowing that I’ve helped someone to create a home they love.
